Norm was on a work trip to promote the British Virgin Islands and Mary tagged along for some island time at the Lambert Resort. What a wonderful place. Can't say enough about how friendly the people are here and how beautiful and unspoiled this tropical paradise can be. We will definitely be back.

Lambert Beach Resort - a beautiful spot.
This is where Norm started his work week and was home base as he toured around the Island of Tortola.
They were just finishing up renovations after Hurricane Irma flattened most of the island. This is a great location a bit away from the main town, but only a fun taxi ride over the mountain. It has great service, deserted big beach, great restaurant and huge swimming pool. A nice spot for a tropical getaway.

Virgin Gorda - The Baths
Virgin Gorda is a short ferry ride from Tortola and makes for a great beach day. The beach is littered with enormous boulders and these make rooms or baths along the beach. It's a fun day wandering through the rocks. Unfortunately it was a rough day and we couldn't do any snorkelling.
Taxi will let you off at the Top of The Baths where you will find a restaurant, swimming pool and showers and beautiful gardens
Then just follow the path down to the beach

The hiking path from Devil's Bay to the Top of the Baths is steep and hot - make sure you have water!
Taking the water taxi back from Virgin Gorda to Tortola - it's an easy way to get around the many BVI islands - like the local bus.

Callwood Rum Distillery at Cane Garden BayAlthough it is unknown exactly how old the Callwood Distillery is, the style of stone and brick architecture, widely used by the British throughout the Caribbean, would suggest that it dates back to the mid 1700's, or thereabouts. It has been in the Callwood family since the late 1800's
