Georgian Bay Boat Trip 2020 -

A boat trip to the bay is a perfect place to social distance and chill with our little bubble.

In July of 2020,
We loaded up our Nauti Girl for her trip from Port Severn to Georgian Bay

Lock 45 at Port Severn of the Trent Severn Waterway was a bit intimidating with high water levels at the lower bay side and touchless locking, but the lock staff was great and we had no problems
Walkways and blue line are underwater.

We had a beautiful calm day through the gorgeous scenery of the bay from Port Severn to Echo Bay in The Massasauga Provincial Park

Ahhh- so that's why it's called Monument Channel

Entering The Massasauga

Looking carefully for rocks and shoals.  Luckily the water was high and we made it over the rocks into the north part of Echo Bay

Anchored in a beautiful spot!

This spot will do nicely!

Just me, my kayak and a camera   - exploring the shoreline

.

Sunset reflected in the eastern sky (??)

We wake to an overcast day

After we get some doggies looked after, we make our way to Henry's today

Rainy day today, so we head over to the docks at Henry's ... for beautiful scenery, power, and of course fish and chips  :-)

Docked at Henry's Fish Restuarant

A beautiful new day and we are off to Wani Bay just off of 12 Mile Bay for 2 nights on the hook.

Wani Bay  at O'Donnell Point Nature Reserve

We spent the day swimming,  floating around, reading, visiting, and just general chilling out  -and working up an appetite.

All tucked in for the night

Another beautiful new day.... time for some exploring in the kayak

The "diving rocks" at twilight

Another beautiful Georgian Bay Sunset ..... these never get old.

Time to leave and we pass into the stunningly beautiful 12 Mile Bay

Passing O'Donnell Point Lighthouse on our way back to Port Severn

And then our requisite pass through beautiful Indian Harbour

PART 2- Aug 8-10 FAMILY  WEEKEND AT BONE ISLAND

On our way

Docked at Georgian Bay Islands National Park - Bone Island

Great place for FISHING:

...And Doggie Paddling Rides

...And lounging around

Toys?   What toys?

... and just enjoying the beautiful views

Then on Monday afternoon, we took the kids and dogs back to Honey Harbour to pick up the cars.

After we dropped off the kids in Honey Harbour, we went right back to our spot on the dock at Bone Island for the rest of the week.  We were joined by our Driftwood boating buddies for our 4 boat bubble.  Most of the week we had the dock to ourselves, but the weekend are always busy.

A trip to the Marina at Honey Harbour for a new Battery

Then time for some fun on a very hot day.

Dock party!

And Back to Port Severn by way of Brebeuf Island and the historic lighthouse
