Grand Canyon Jan 4th-5th

We arrived at the Grand Canyon in time to see the sunset. Then up early this morning to catch the sunrise. Fantastic views- the pictures certainly do not capture how majestic and enormous this canyon is. We stayed at Meswik Lodge - right in Grand Canyon National Park. Temperatures reached a low of minus 18C, but up to 0 when the sun came up. It was pretty cold standing on the rim. It was also very snowy and icy and most of the trails and viewpoint had no fences on the rim.... Pretty scary!
We saw lots of mule deer roaming all over the resort.
