We drove for about 4 hours across the desert from LA to Las Vegas yesterday morning. We are staying at the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street in downtown Vegas. The hotel is quite nice and has a swimming pool around a shark tank aquarium . The water slide goes through the middle of the shark tank, but unfortunately it is too cold for swimming. It's been between 4 and 10 degrees Celsius.
We spent the day walking around and looking at the hotels, casinos and shopping malls. We went to the show at the Golden Nugget tonight - Gordie Brown ( a very talented singer/ comedian and is Canadian). Most of the big shows were off for holidays.
